Snow White at the Medina, Isle of Wight 2012

Angela Webb, notoriously wicked Iris from Crossroads, returns to the stage at Newport as The Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Angela has spent many years playing Princesses and Good Fairies but given the opportunity to play the baddie again it didn't take long for some magic fairy dust to turn her back into what she does best!!!

Angela made her first stage appearance for the Young Vic Theatre Company as Jane Harris in ‘City Sugar’.

Since then she has appeared in many theatre productions including Betty Blunder in ‘Where The Rainbow Ends’, Dora in ‘Night Must Fall’, as well as tours of ‘How The Other Half Loves’ playing Mary, ‘Sailor Beware’ playing Shirley and repertory seasons in productions such as ‘Murder By The Book’, ‘Murder In Mind’ and playing Mrs Manningham in ‘Gaslight’.

Angela worked for Les Blair at the BBC making an improvised film called the ‘Whip Hand’ playing Chrissie and has since then made numerous T.V. appearances including ‘You Get The Truth’ (BBC), ‘Upstairs’ Downstairs’ (BBC), ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ (BBC) and ‘Jackanory's The Princess and the Frog’ (BBC). Angela is probably best known for her portrayal of troublesome Iris Scott in the long running soap ‘Crossroads’ (Central).

Angela has appeared in many pantomimes playing principal roles including Peter in ‘Peter Pan’ Sunderland and at the Epsom Playhouse, Mrs. Cratchet ‘A Christmas Carol’, Fairy Godmother and principal roles in ‘Mother Goose’, ‘Cinderella’, ‘Snow White’ and ‘Dick Whittington’ all around the country.
